Small Plastic Dustbin

A small plastic dustbin is an ideal body or container for a DIY Smart Dustbin Robot because it is lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to modify. Choose a bin with a hinged or removable lid so that a servo motor can be connected to it. A compact size makes it easier to mount the Arduino, ultrasonic sensor, servo motor, battery, and connecting wires without making the robot bulky.

For the project, select a strong, lightweight plastic dustbin with enough space for the electronic components and a lid that moves freely. A small hole or opening can be made near the upper front section to mount the ultrasonic sensor, while the servo motor can be fixed inside or beside the lid mechanism. The plastic body also provides electrical insulation and can be decorated to give the Smart Dustbin Robot an attractive appearance.
